The IDEATHON2024, one of the biggest business idea competitions in western Maharashtra’s has been conducted in four regions viz Sangli. Satata, Kolhapur and Pune in collaboration with four Host Institutes viz., Padbhushan Vasantrao Patil Institute of Technology, Budhgaon, Sangli; D.Y.Patil College of Engineering and Technology, Kolhapur; KBP College of Engineering, Satara and Rajarambapu Institute of Technology (Polytechnic), Pune along with RIT Campus.

More than 150 groups participated in this competition. Online induction program of selected ideas for 1st round was done on 15th February, 2024. Online first round was organized to screen the applications from various Institutes on 21th February to 27th February, 2024. The 2nd online induction for selected candidates was held on 2nd March, 2024.

The offline 2nd round was organized at the respective Co-host institute. The 2nd offline round was conducted from 13th March to 16th March, 2024 zone wise at RIT (Polytechnic) Pune; KBP College, Satara; PVPIT College, Sangli and D Y Patil College, Kolhapur.

Expert Sessions:

01.  Incubators for Startups:

This session on 23 March 2024 was the part of IDEATHON2024's expert knowledge session. This session's speaker Mr. Harshal Patil (CEO, NRiT TBI), discussed about the role of a business incubator in the journey of a startup. He dicussed about the different phases of a startup journey and the reasons why startup fails

02.  Digital Marketing Strategies for Startups:

This session on 23 March 2024 was the part of IDEATHON2024's expert knowledge session. This session's speaker Mr. Yahsang Gokani (Director, Pariter M and E-commerce Solutions Pvt. Ltd.), discussed about the importance and necessicity of digital marketing in startups journey. He also discussed about types of digital marketing and the different strategies.

03.  Business Idea Validation:

This session on 24 March 2024 was the part of IDEATHON2024's expert knowledge session. This session's speaker Ms. Ruchira Gole (Founder and CEO, Thrivemax Pvt. Ltd.), discussed about what is idea validation and how to validate the business ideas. She spoke about different type of surveys and techniques to validate the idea.

05.  Business Model For Startups:

This session on 26 March 2024 was the part of IDEATHON2024's expert knowledge session. This session's speaker Mr. Mangesh Narvekar (CS and Founder, Mangesh Narvekar and Associates), discussed about the different business models such as Proprietery, OPC, Partnership firm, Private Ltd company, LLP, etc. He also discussed about the merits and demerits of all types of business models.

06.  ChatGPT Prompt Engineering and Hubspot Essentials:

This session on 27 March 2024 was the part of IDEATHON2024's expert knowledge session. This session's speaker Mr. Yash Pawar (Founder, A1 Aimers) and Mr. Swarup Mane (Founder, Taxila Innovations), discussed about the prompt engineering used in ChatGPT for better content development which can be used for marketing and communications for startups, and they also discussed about hubspot and how it can be used for proper management of work.
